Less known islands in Spain

When you think about Spanish islands, the popular Canary and Balearic Islands traditionally attract tourists and visitors from all over the world to enjoy their beautiful coastline and nightlife (before the COVID-19 pandemic, of course). But we just have the thing for those who dream of empty beaches, local flavors and untouched nature. Although traveling may not be an option at present due to a health crisis, nothing stops us from planning our next escape to one of the less known Spanish islands where the cold (virtually, for now) is to be escaped and we will skip the common suspects for these less discovered Spanish islands. شركات

The Palm

The beautiful Canary Island of La Palma is concentrated in an impressive number of spots; few corners of Europe contain more spectacular landscapes than this hidden gem. The island is a favorite for outdoors, because walking is the best way to explore the island's treasures.

Don't miss the views of the imposing volcanoes, walk into the deep forests of the island and reach the welcome beaches of the island, and not forget a trip to the Observatory of Roque de los Muchachos to watch the star-filled night skies.

This island has mild temperatures all year long, making it the perfect place to enjoy the winter sun and escape the cold snap in Europe while being one of the least touristy Canary Islands.

The Rosary

La Gomera is another hidden jewel in the Canary Islands and also one of the least developed Spanish tourism islands. In 2012, La Gomera had been designated World Biosphere Reserve and, like La Palma, most visitors to La Gomera are attracted by the exciting nature, the laurel forests, subtropical mountain trails and the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

To get to know the wildest part of the island is a must to visit Garajonay National Park. And if your thing is the beach, discover Valle Gran Rey, usually the most touristy part of the island. Again, the La Gomera has to be added to your future bucket list, mild throughout the year, to enjoy summer or winter sunshine.

The Iron

El Hierro remains a destination waiting to be discovered, far from the major Canary Islands tourist traffic. El Hierro is located near La Gomera, full of hidden treasures, and will not deceive you.

This volcanic island is named after one of Spain's most interesting places to visit, and it offers some of Spain's most beautiful views, such as the Mirador de la Peña. Nature and the wilderness can be enjoyed by lovers of the forest, not forgetting the stunning beaches and the coastline where you can enjoy the most beautiful winter sun.

Formera

We are going to the Balearic Islands for our last stop, and without a doubt Formentera has something special about it. It is certainly not unknown but it tends to be much less crowded in normal circumstances than its neighbors in the Balearic archipelago because of its lack of an airport.

It is difficult to choose one beach in Formentera to escape the cold, but almost all the locals recommend the Ses Illetes beach with transparent, blue waters that do not seem real.
